Bagot Road pedestrian overpass handrail upgrade

The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure is upgrading the handrails on Bagot Road pedestrian overpass, adjacent to Ludmilla Primary School.

Works will include the removal of existing handrails and replacement with higher handrails to improve the safety of overpass users.

Works are expected to commence in January 2025 and take 6 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Road users, pedestrians and cyclists are advised to take caution during these works and adhere to pedestrian and traffic management in place.

While the works take place, a traffic controller will be on site to guide pedestrians through the overpass. When no works are occurring, the overpass will be made safe for continued use without guidance.

To reduce traffic disruption, some activities will occur at night between 7pm and 5am. Temporary lane closures and speed restrictions will apply.
