Kakadu Highway
The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is undertaking intersection upgrade works at 3 locations on the Kakadu Highway in Kakadu National Park to improve road safety.
From the Stuart Highway intersection, works are located at:
- Djarradjin (Muirella Park) – 179 km
- Burdulba – 190 km
- Malabanjbanjdju – 192 km.
Works to widen the existing road formation to construct the turning lanes will include:
- clearing
- earthworks
- culvert extensions
- pavement construction
- bitumen spray sealing
- line-marking
- installation of road furniture.
Works are expected to start late May and be completed by September 2025.
