Kakadu National Park road upgrades

The Australian Government and Northern Territory Government are delivering upgrades to key tourism roads in Kakadu National Park. The $70 million upgrades are funded by the Australian Government and being delivered by the NT Department of Logistics and Infrastructure.

The upgrades are part of the Australian Government’s $216 million investment to grow tourism in Kakadu and support Jabiru’s transition to a tourism-based economy following the Ranger Uranium Mine closure.

The roads within Kakadu are important for access to key park attractions, to support tourism and business, facilitate management of the park and improve visitor safety.

The road upgrades will improve access to key park attractions and support growth of the annual visitation numbers.
