Kirkland Road and Woodlake Boulevard intersection upgrade

The Northern Territory Government is upgrading the intersection of Kirkland Road and Woodlake Boulevard in Durack.

The Durack community have raised concerns about safety and delays at the intersection. A survey of the intersection found that site location, driver behaviour and traffic conditions are creating safety issues.

Kirkland Road is busy in peak hours with small gaps for turning to and from Woodlake Boulevard. Drivers undertake risky manoeuvres to avoid long delays at the intersection.

A roundabout will be constructed at the intersection to relieve traffic congestion and improve road safety.
