Litchfield Park Road – concrete culvert upgrade works
The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is undertaking culvert upgrade works at 3 locations on Litchfield Park Road in Litchfield National Park.
The scope of works include:
- construction of reinforced concrete culverts at 3 locations
- clearance of trees, stumps and vegetation with significant trees protected during works by AAPA restricted work area conditions
- installation of culvert cells, headwalls, wing walls, aprons, rock and concrete protection, stabilised backfill, and fill and shape earthworks to match surrounds
- reinstate road and existing road furniture, install new road furniture, and restore line marking.
Works are expected to begin 1 April 2025 (weather dependant) and are due for completion by September 2025.
Two culverts are located near the Litchfield Park Road and Wangi Falls access road intersection. The third is located between Batchelor and the Florence Falls/Buley Rockhole turnoff.
Litchfield Park Road will remain open during works, with speed restrictions and lane closures in place.
Motorists are asked to comply with all traffic management and signage in place.
