Maningrida police facility

The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is building a new police complex in Maningrida, Arnhem Land.

The new facility, being built for the Northern Territory Police Force, will enhance operational efficiency, provide updated facilities and cater for the future needs of the community.

The station will increase capacity to 16 police officers and include:

  • multi-purpose/courthouse area
  • 5 holding cells
  • 8 member visiting officers’ quarters
  • secure vehicle compound
  • boat shed
  • services plant, fuel tank and bowser
  • dog kennel and run
  • 2 duplex buildings
  • 3 of 4 bed houses.

The works location was carefully selected to accommodate accessibility, and best serve community safety for Maningrida.

Works are expected to begin late August 2025 and be complete by late 2026.
