Napier Road rehabilitation and seal

The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is undertaking upgrade work to Napier Road, approximately 30 km south of Katherine.

Works will extend for 1 km, starting approximately 100 m from the Stuart Highway intersection, and will improve pavement life and safety for road users.

Construction works include, but are not limited to:

• earthworks
• pavement works
• bitumen spray sealing works
• line marking
• installation of road furniture.

Works are expected to start 15 July and be completed by October 2026.

Napier Road will remain open during works, with speed restrictions and lane closures applied. Access to Downes Road will be maintained.

Road users are asked to comply with all traffic management and signage in place.
