Tennant Creek Streetscaping
Streetscaping works have been completed.
The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure undertook streetscape works to Paterson Street, Tennant Creek.
These works beautify the Tennant Creek CBD and provide shade and cooling for residents and visitors.
Works include:
- cooling through installation of structures with seating and lighting
- installation of new garden beds
- landscaping and tree planting
- new wayfinding signage
- installation of water bubblers.
Works are now entering stage 3 from October 2025. See map and details below:
Stage 3A - October 2025 to 14 December 2025
- The Pinnacles Road carpark (next to the IGA) will be closed whilst shade structures and demolition works are undertaken.
- The IGA will remain open.
- Temporary fencing will be in place – with dedicated footpath access for pedestrians.
- Customers can access parking at the rear of the IGA carpark and along Paterson Street.

Stage 3B - 5 January to early March 2026
- Vehicles will be able to access the Pinnacles Road carpark via both entrances.
- An area directly out the front of IGA northern entrance will be closed however footpath access will remain open.
- Temporary fencing will be in place.

Christmas period
No works will take place between 20 December 2025 and 5 January 2026.
Temporary fencing will remain in place where required.
Completion of works
Streetscaping works are expected to be completed by March 2026.
