Tennant Creek Streetscaping

The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure will soon be undertaking streetscape works to Paterson Street and Memorial Drive, Tennant Creek.

Once complete, these works will beautify the Tennant Creek CBD and provide shade and cooling for residents and visitors.

Works include:

• cooling through installation of structures with seating and lighting
• installation of garden beds
• tree planting and tree guards
• new wayfinding signage
• installation of water bubblers
• upgrades to existing seating and tables.

Works will be staged and undertaken as follows:

Stage 1

Early October to late November.

Corner of Paterson Street and Memorial Drive (Childcare side).

Stage 1A

Early October to late November.

Corner of Paterson Street and Memorial Drive (Childcare side).

Stage 2

Late November to Mid January 2025.

Corner post office - Memorial Drive and Paterson Streets.

Stage 2A

Late November to Mid January 2025.

Memorial Drive between Thompson and Paterson Streets (post office side).

Stage 3

Mid January to late 2025 February.

Pinnacles Road Carpark opposite the IGA.

Streetscaping works are expected to be completed by February 2025.

Motorists are asked to slow down in the area and follow all traffic management in place.
