Warruwi barge landing repairs

The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure (DLI) is conducting repair works on the Warruwi barge landing site on South Goulburn Island, Arnhem Land.

The works will repair damaged sections of the barge landing to ensure the safety, usability and longevity of the facility to cater for the future needs of the community.

Works include:

• repair of damaged sections of the barge landing
• repairing the damaged section of the adjacent boat ramp
• construction of a new path leading from the barge landing to the refuel point
• installation of a new solar light at the barge landing site
• installation of additional signage around the loading area
• construction of new table drains.

Works are expected to begin in June and be completed by August 2026, subject to weather conditions.
