Developing a new Towards Zero Road Safety Action Plan 2024-2028
In 2018, the first Towards Zero Road Safety Action Plan 2018-2022 was released with input from key road safety stakeholders and communities across the Territory.
The Plan included 49 targeted actions to positively impact on road safety in the Territory.
It is now time to develop the next Towards Zero Road Safety Action Plan 2024-2028. This plan will build upon the successes from Towards Zero 2018-2022 and will continue the implementation of actions targeting reductions in road trauma on Territory roads.
Towards Zero Round Tables were held in Darwin and Alice Springs in May 2023, and the outcomes have contributed to the development of a Discussion Paper PDF (1.6 MB). The Discussion Paper will inform the development of the Towards Zero Road Safety Action Plan 2024-2028. The Discussion Paper sets out proposed actions across 10 priority areas, to be addressed over the next 5 years.
