Taxi fare increase
The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics has completed a review of taxi fares across the Northern Territory.
Taxi fares will increase by 4.3% to the distance rate for tariffs one and two, in line with the Australian Consumer Price Index (CPI). The increase will provide stability to members of the taxi industry and balance affordability by the travelling public.
The increase will come into effect from Wednesday 31 July 2024.
