Gifts and benefits

During this festive season we kindly remind clients, stakeholders, and contractors that your thanks is enough, and staff are unable to accept gifts or benefits.

Under the department's gift and benefits policy, all staff must not seek or accept any payment, gift or benefit which is intended to, or that could reasonably be perceived by others to, influence them to act in a particular way.

Even in circumstances where the gift or benefit has been declined, our staff are required to complete a declaration form to record the offer on the department’s gifts and benefits register.

The department’s gifts and benefits policy are currently under review. The new policy will be published on our website for client, stakeholder and contractor information in the new year.
