MXGP track at Hidden Valley

Published

The Northern Territory Government, together with the Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC), is building a permanent world-class motocross track at the Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex.

The new track will host the 2025 Motocross World Championship (MXGP) in Darwin from 19-21 September.

This international event will be broadcast to over 100 countries, reaching up to 700 million people worldwide.

The MXGP of Australia is set to highlight the Northern Territory’s extraordinary natural beauty globally and build on the ‘Top End’s’ already enviable reputation as an international tourist mecca and a great place to call home.

The event will feature both men’s and women’s (WMX) races, making it the only MXGP event in the world that includes both in one competition. Notably, Darwin will be the first city in Australia to host the WMX World Championship.
