Tropical Cyclone Fina
DLI staff and contractors have been working to support the community following Tropical Cyclone Fina.
This has included:
- inspecting, clearing and opening 670km of roads
- assisting public transport to resume
- ensuring hospital operations could be maintained
- supporting government schools with urgent assessments and repairs so they could reopen
- establishing a temporary waste management facility for public use.
While there’s still more work to go, we appreciate everyone’s patience as crews continue restoration and clean-up efforts.
