EV Charger Grant Scheme closing soon

The Northern Territory Government committed $300,000 to the Electric Vehicle Charger (Residential and Business) Grant Scheme.

The grants are for the purchase and installation of EV chargers by the owners of electric vehicles or businesses (proof of an NT registered EV is required).

The scheme has had uptake from 8 businesses and 239 residences since it began in July 2022.

As the EV charger grant scheme is nearing the $300,000 funding allocation, the scheme will be ending on 31 December 2025.

New applicants have until 31 December 2025 or until funds are exhausted (whichever occurs first) to apply for a grant. Applications are processed in the order they’re received.

EV chargers approved under this grant scheme must be paid and installed by 31 May 2026.

Applications that have been submitted but not yet approved, along with new applications received, will only be considered if funding is available. There is no guarantee that an application will be assessed or approved.
