Nightcliff Jetty upgrades
The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure is undertaking upgrade works to Nightcliff Jetty.
MMC Australia Pty Ltd has been awarded the contract to complete the program of works.
Project schedule
Scheduled start date: Monday 11 May 2026.
Expected completion date: late July 2026.
Works will occur Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 3pm.
Works include
- Surface corrosion treatment of jetty columns.
- High pressure water blasting of the walkway structure and jetty head in preparation for repainting.
- Removal of timber decking for high pressure water blasting, installation of new timber decking where required and reinstallation of decking to close gaps between each board to 10mm.
- Repairs and installation of handrails at jetty head.
- Installation of gate at top of the steps at jetty head.
- Installation of additional structural support where required.
